I haven't been home in a month. To most people, that seems like nothing. But for me, that's sort of a big deal.
Luckily, I've still gotten to see some of my family the past few days!
Alicia decided to come down and see me while she was on Spring Break and it turned out that the best day would be Saturday, while Peter was working. It also turned out that my parents were going to be coming down here as well, for a different reason that deserves a story in and of itself, so they picked her up and all headed down my way.
Man, I had forgotten how much I miss my family. It was also fun for me because Anne got to officially meet them and see me interact with them. I talk about them all the time so she feels like she knows them, but now it's official! I think she gets me a lot more now that she's met Alicia. That's usually how it goes.
After lunch at Red Robin (of course) we went to the University Mall and shopped around a little. Since my birthday is coming up, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to get some new pants and shoes (which I definitely needed). Alicia got some stuff she needed too.
Then we stopped by the BYU Bookstore and ran to the Flower Patch before they had to head back home.
It was short lived, but that type of relaxing day is just what I needed.
Sunday Derrick dropped by for about five minutes. He had something very important he needed to pick up...
Then yesterday, on my way to my 11 o'clock class I got a phone call from cute Amy saying they were on their way to Provo with her brother and his fiance. So after my class I met up with them and we walked around the bookstore for a few minutes (and the girls followed the cougar paws), picked up some lunch, and then went to the Creamery so the kids could eat some ice cream. I thought Max was going to break the table he was hitting it so hard in excitement over the ice cream. Such a little stud.
I love random, short visits. They just make my day and anything in life a little more bearable.
If only Peter had come down with Alicia, Spence had come down with Amy, Michelle had come with Derrick, and Nate, Mandi, and Dax had also dropped by, and Shannon didn't live so stinkin far away that impromptu visits are illogical, my happiness would have been complete!
Next time!

Such a fun day!! Love you, Sista. PS, I'm pretty sure the reason Wes broke up with you is because he realized you are WAY out of his league. Keep doing awesome things with your life and having cool professors tell you what a smarty pants you are!!
Thanks, Leesh! You always know how to make me laugh!
