International Women's Day

While there are so many amazing women in my life, I wanted to take a second and say a little something about the amazing women in my life with whom I am related.

Maria: Maria is a lover. Not only does she love, she is constantly looking for ways to express her love for those around her. She has also worked hard to develop every talent she has (which is a lot!). 

Amber: Like her mother, she loves hard and is extremely loyal. Kyle and I didn't date for very long before we got engaged, so I was worried his family wouldn't like me. Amber was determined to love me from the very beginning and has been incredibly accepting. 

Audrey: Audrey is quiet and nice, but don't let that fool you. She is not afraid to stand up for herself or for those around her who she loves. 

Adalyn: Adalyn is a spitfire. She goes after what she wants in life and is not shy about it. She is determined and sweet.

Carly: Carly is one of the kindest, most sincere, and most thoughtful person in the world. She always has a kind word to say about everyone. And I can't wait to snuggle her sweet baby girl any day now!

Amy: Amy is hilarious and goofy while simultaneously being one of the softest hearted people I know. She keeps our family on our toes and we couldn't love her more.

Abby: Abby is the best oldest grandchild in the world. She is smart, kind, funny, and thoughtful. She has the quiet strength to hold together every group she is part of.

Lyla: Lyla is herself no matter what. Like her mother, she has a soft heart and gives the best hugs. She is smart and determined and keeps us all entertained with the text messages she sends from random family members' phones.

Ellie: Even at just over a year old, Ellie has proved she is a fighter. She is sweet and one of the funniest little babes in the world. 

Mandi: Mandi is is smart, ambitious and funny. She is multi-talented, but always has time to support those she cares about. She has been my mentor through this whole first-time-working-mom thing and I will be eternally grateful for that.

Shannon: Shannon has always treated me like an equal, even when I just her annoying little sister who was tagging along with her friends. No matter what she faces, Shannon never gives up and rises to every challenge.

Adeline: Adeline is smart and sassy. She is going to change the world for the better, simply because she will not accept anything less.

Mary: Mary is the person everyone wants to be around. She is goofy and kind, beautiful and smart. And she has slid into this motherhood thing like a pro.

Alicia: Sometimes I'm convinced Alicia is a superhero. Nothing defeats her, she faces every fear with courage and bravery, and she always just keeps going. Plus, she knows me better than everyone else, instantaneously knows what I need, and always come through for me.

 Kate: Kate is honestly the funniest person I've ever met. She is smart as can be, loving, and has the best sweet tooth.

Mama: One of the most striking things about my mother is how well she understands people and what they need. And then her willingness to do what is necessary, regardless of what others may think.
