Bridal Showers

I have awesome friends and family who threw me fun bridal showers.

First was my friend one. Anne did most of the work, but Haley, Emily, and Alicia all helped throw the beautiful shower. Anne had the idea of having people wear spring dresses and let me borrow her pretty white one. The theme was "April Showers Bring May Flowers," so there were a lot of beautiful flowers and cute rain boots. Also books (since I'm a total nerd) and Anne printed out some of our engagement pictures too.

I loved the cute personal touches, like the little plates of peanut butter and the peanut butter M&Ms in even numbers and all the same color, just how I like it. I have the best friends.

Haley asked Kyle a bunch of questions and video taped his answers. I had to guess what he was going to say. Amy decided we needed to make it more exciting and that I should have to put a big marshmallow in my mouth if I got one of the questions wrong. I loved the videos because they were such a good representation of Kyle and his personality. They were seriously so funny. I didn't do very well guessing what he would say though. If I had more time to think I might have done better, but I wasn't great at thinking on my feet. Needless to say, I had a mouth full of marshmallows.

It was so great to see so many people I love so much. These ladies have all had such a powerful impact on my life and I'm so grateful for it.

My family bridal shower was combined with Mary and was the next weekend. My mom and Mandi did most of the work. Kyle's mom, Maria, and sister, Amber, both came to the shower. It was fun to watch them interact with my sisters and other family. Plus, there were two newborns there, so they were in heaven.

My last bridal shower was this past Saturday. It was at Ali Mitchell's house, with some other amazing ladies in my home ward helping to pull it off. It was fun to see so many of the women who have had such a strong impact on my life and get to talk to them for a little while. Again, it was a combined shower with Mary. I was glad we did a combined shower for two of them because I don't much like being the center of attention.

I'm so grateful for the incredible women in my life. They bring so much light and have made me so much better through their examples and my interactions with them!
