11 Random Facts about Me:

1.  I really hate pictures of just me.  Hence the picture with my nieces and one of my nephews.

2.  I have to eat things in two.  Any kind of snack food.  And if they are colorful, I have to eat two of the same color.  One for each side of my mouth.

3.  I get physically drained by social situations.  I feel totally exhausted after spending a long time with lots of people.  I'm much better in small groups and when I don't feel like I am putting on a show.

4.  I get lots of weird/old people diseases/ailments.  I once had a doctor tell me the X-rays of my knees are what they usually see in middle aged women.  Awesome.  Plus, kidney stones.  My mom teases me that I'll get gout next (which usually occurs in middle-aged, obese males).

5.  I'm obsessed with "So You Think You Can Dance."  I have watched every season.  It's beautiful!

6.  My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice and I feel cheesy for even saying that.  But it is.  I've read it at least once every year since I was in seventh grade.  

7.  I am a very logical person and am not very patient when others aren't.  Example:  I don't understand why no one but me puts all of the bowls on one side of the dishwasher and the cups on the other.  It just makes sense.  Same goes for unloading it and putting it away.

8.  I love organizing things.  It relaxes me.  I always alphabetize movies and my closet is arranged according to length of sleeve and color within that.

9.  I love coming home from school and telling my roommates all about the cool things I learned.  I think I have to coolest major and everyone should want to know what I'm learning about!

10.  I don't answer the phone if I don't know the number.  Too often it doesn't work out well for me.  Far too many awkward dates with people I don't know very well (they like to catch you off guard).  I figure if they really need me, they'll leave a message and tell me who it is so I can call them back.

11.  I have a hard time letting myself wear my hair in a pony tail more than twice a week because growing up Alicia use to chastise me for it.  When I want to put it in a pony tail for the third time in the week, I get a little Alicia voice (that only actually resembles her voice in a minuscule way) telling me not to.

Questions and Answers:

1.  If you could be any X-man, who would it be?  Well, what mutation would you have?

...I have never seen X-men, so I really have no answer for that question.

2.  What is your favorite article of clothing to wear?

My "CATS" and "AIDA" T-shirts.  I never leave the house while wearing them, but I think they're super comfortable.  

3.  What is your favorite scripture ever?

One of them is Matthew 11:28-30.  I love it because it reminds me that God will always be there for me to make things better, but that doesn't necessarily mean He is going to take all the pain away.  More likely He is going to make it easier by putting others in my life to help or provide me with the tools I need to make it all on my own.

4.  What is one of your tangible treasures (baby blanket, grandma's jewelry, etc.)?

When I graduated from high school, my mom made me a comforter made up of a bunch of T-shirts and costumes from my life up to that point.  I love thinking of the memories associated with it.

5.  How many babies do you want to have one day?

Six.  Probably because that is how many people in my family.  At the very least it will have to be an even number.  If somehow I could make it so I had the same number of boys and girls, I would totally do it.

6.  What is one of your fondest childhood memories?  Feel free to tell the whole story.

I just learned about memory in school...I have a lot of semantic ones I love, like playing with Hillers pretty much everyday growing up.  The first episodic one that came into my head was the day after Christmas in sixth grade.  The power went out.  The four youngest in my family played all day with the four youngest in Blair and Michelle's family all day.  We traveled the dark streets between houses playing in the slush and snow, played games next to candles and the fire, and just had a great time.  Sometimes I wish the power would go out more often so I could stop being so reliant on technology.

7.  Why did you pick the career you did?

I am a psychology major and my dream is to get my Ph.D. and work in a clinic with girls who have eating disorders.  I've always loved helping people.  I remember in elementary school when random girls would come and tell me all about their friend problems because I loved fixing them (whether or not I ever actually helped is still up for debate).  I have also always sort of been a feminist, so I feel especially bad for girls who don't realize just how great they are and can be. 

8.  What is your favorite holiday?  Why?

Kate says if anyone doesn't say Christmas, they are lying.  I tend to agree.  It's just such a great time of year, for the most part.  But really I love any excuse to get together and play with my family, holiday or not.

9.  Football or soccer?

As much as I love football, the Keddington in me has to choose soccer.

10.  Do you have any scars?  What happened?

Yes.  Last April I had surgery on my right knee and then had the same thing done to the left knee in August.  So now I have four matching scope scars on each knee.

11.  All time favorite movie?

"Remember the Titans"  I watched it yesterday.  It never gets old.
